Cryptopia, the recently hacked cryptocurrency exchange, today announced that to restart its trading services. At present, the exchange allows only 40 trade pairs which have measured as secure.
On Wednesdays, Cryptopia, the New Zealand located crypto exchange, updated notice to their users on Twitter on Wednesday. They are allowing trading only limited coin pairs and it will expand their services in other trade cryptocurrency pairs.
Cryptopia Exchange Hacking
The exchange provided a complete list of the available cryptocurrency pairs on their support pages.
Cryptopia hacked on Jan. 16 and it suffered a high-security breach. The exchange got very significant losses. It went protection mode. The company silent for several days, later updated the news on Twitter. Finally, the firm disclosed the overall worth of loss.
The exchange took help of local police help try to find attackers and missing funds.
Cryptopia Announcement on Losses
Cryptopia updated on Feb. 27 on Twitter about total losses in term of percentage 9.4%. The coins have stolen as a consequence of hack. The company mentioned losses in the percentage but in terms of fiat currency.
Cryptopia Exchange Re-started
Starting from March 4, the exchange given permission to users access the site only in read only manner. After some days the company allowed very limited operations. Such as trade and cancel the standing order. The firm also announced on March 17, the exchange will reimburse the traders who lost the coins in the hacking.
After starting the exchange, cryptopia exchange is still facing problems from the banking services. The company updated as follows:
“New Zealand dollar deposits and withdrawals are currently suspended due to issues with banking service provision for NZDT.”
Cryptopia exchange is trying very hard to restore all the services. The banking issues also will solve immediately. Any further developments the company will notify its users on social media.
